Ms.Meg (She/Her)

With 25 plus years in Montessori Education, Ms.Meg brings a wealth of experience and energy to the classroom. A major in child psychology and advanced degrees in Montessori (AMS) combine to give her a unique expertise with young children. Meg is constantly seeking to advance her knowledge in Early Child Education and has recently received her endorsement in the Orton Gillingham method. Meg is trained in the Jane Nelson Positive Discipline approach and utilizes this in the classroom. Meg has been an active member of the Pacific Northwest Montessori Association since 1993, and is an accredited member of the American Montessori Society since 1994. As a mother of four, Meg has the dual perspective of both teacher and mother that creates a warm and nurturing educational atmosphere. Meg believes strongly in encouraging children to work to their highest potential, while providing the hugs & laughs that make this possible.

When Ms.Meg is not in the classroom you can usually find her gardening, spending time with her family (which includes two adorably goofy dogs), or snuggled up with a good book!

Ms.Georgia (She/Her)

Ms.Georgia attended Bellevue College for her Associates Degree and is currently interning under Ms.Meg while in the process of getting her Montessori Certification. Georgia has taken educator courses through Trillium Montessori to further her knowledge of both child development and Montessori education. Ms.Georgia attended The Village Schoolhouse since she was in the womb, as she is Meg's third born daughter. Montessori education is in her blood! If you take a tour of our school you will see her in class photos from infancy through kindergarten, and now as a teacher. Ms.Georgia brings energy and a strong Montessori background to the classroom, and lots of giggles and guidance as well!

Ms.Georgia loves baking, doing yoga, snuggling her puppies, and listening to podcasts while running on the treadmill!
